Adam Ant is a singer / songwriter and performer who gained commercial success with a new wave punk group calling themselves ‘Adam And The Ants’, then later as a solo artist. He scored 10 UK top ten hits from 1980 to 1983, including three UK No. 1 singles. He has also worked as an actor, appearing in over two dozen films and television episodes from 1985 to 2003.
The band toured extensively in the UK and USA but soon, the stress of performing 300 shows a year took its toll and in early 1982, the band broke up and Adam Ant went solo. Unfortunately his solo career failed to take off and he turned to acting.
Since 2010, Adam Ant has reactivated his musical career, performing live and recording a new album. 2019 saw him tour in North America and the UK.
