Andrea Bocelli is an Italian classical opera singer who also happens to be blind. He learned to play the piano, flute and saxophone as a child but began his singing career in the late 1980s, when he began performing in piano bars throughout Italy. In 1993 he was signed to a record contract after someone influential in music heard him sing during a party. Since then Andrea Bocelli has worked with the likes of Luciano Pavarotti and Sarah Brightman, with whom he sang one of his best known hits “Con Te Partirò [Time To Say Goodbye]”.
