Avril Lavigne is a Canadian singer songwriter who produced music in a rock punk pop style.

Having began singing in church in church at a young age, she was signed to Arista Records at the tender age of 16. Two years later she released her debut album from which the hit singles “Complicated” and “Sk8er Boi,” were taken. Avril Lavigne followed with the albums Under My Skin (2004), The Best Damn Thing (2007), Goodbye Lullaby (2011) and Avril Lavigne (2013) which all produced chart topping singles.

In amongst her music career, she has also launched her own fragrance, created her own clothing line and has taken time out to help others by establishing the Avril Lavigne Foundation, which aims help young people with disabilities and serious illnesses.
