Billy Currington is an American Country music singer/songwriter. Following high school, he moved to Nashville in the hopes of getting a career in music off the ground and finally landed a job that also gave him time to play at clubs on the side and work on song demos. Billy Currington released his first single, “Walk a Little Straighter” in 2003 which is reportedly written with his experiences with his alcoholic step-father in mind.
To date (2017) Billy Currington has released six albums which have produced 18 singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs and Country Airplay charts, including 11 number one hits.
