Chris Cagle (born November 10, 1968) is an American former country music artist. He was first known for writing songs for David Kersh before signing to Virgin Records Nashville in 2000. Chris Cagle made his debut on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks (now Hot Country Songs). His debut album Play It Loud was certified gold in the United States and produced the Top 10 hit “Laredo” and “I Breathe In, I Breathe Out”, his only number one hit.

The compilation album The Best of Chris Cagle appeared on Capitol in 2010. After a few years spent away from the music industry, he signed with the label Big Picture Music Group. In 2011, he issued the single “Got My Country On” as a precursor to the studio album Back in the Saddle, which was released in 2012.
