Jeff Buckley was an American singer, songwriter and guitarist.  His mother was a classically trained musician, and his father was a well-known folk singer.

Buckley began playing guitar when he was 13, and he soon began writing his own songs.

He was known for his vocal abilities and for his eclectic and experimental approach to music. Buckley began performing in clubs in New York City’s East Village in the early 1990s, and he released his first album, Grace, in 1994.

The album was widely acclaimed, and Buckley was hailed as one of the most promising new talents in music.

Buckley toured extensively in support of Grace, and he also began working on new material. In 1997, he recorded a cover of Leonard Cohen‘s “Hallelujah” for the soundtrack to the film The Last Days of Disco. The song was a hit, and it helped to increase Buckley’s popularity.

Jeff Buckley began work on his second album, ‘My Sweetheart the Drunk’, in 1997, but the album was not completed before his death in a swimming accident in 1996. His mother posthumously released his second album in 1998.
