Whilst in 10th grade he was introduced to music recording software and the music scene developing on the internet. A few friends were recording and John Michael got involved as a producer. At around the same time he recorded a cover of “April Showers” by Dru Hill which impressed his friends. John Michael began writing at 16 years old and has been making music ever since.

His original sound inspiration came from the likes of Stevie Wonder and Michael Jackson and later Kanye West, Pharrell and Timbaland.
