Kanye West

Rapper, record producer, singer and fashion designer Kanye West was born in Atlanta, Georgia, on June 8, 1977.

Having moved to New York in 2001 to pursue his music career full time, rapper Jay-Z hired him to produce songs for his album The Blueprint, which sold more than 420,000 copies in the first week alone. West went on to produce for a handful of stars including rapper Ludacris and singer Beyonce.  He has since then become a prolific songwriter /producer and had several hits in the worldwide charts which have garnered him awards and nominations for the likes of MTV, Grammy and Brits.

In 2014 Kanye West married Kim Kardashian in a lavish but private affair, with Andrea Bocelli singing as she walked down the aisle.

He engages in a number of charitable activities and has produced several lines in fashion shoes.
