La Roux was founded by Elly Jackson in 2006. Originally a synth pop duo with Elly and co – writer/producer Ben Langmaid their single “Bulletproof” (from the album La Roux) hit number 1 in the UK Singles Charts. During the making of their second studio album, “Trouble In Paradise” Ben Langmaid left the partnership, leaving La Roux as a solo project.
