Louis Tomlinson was a member of One Direction, along with Liam Payne, Harry Styles, Zayn Malik and Niall Horan. The boys shot to fame in 2011 with their single “What Makes You Beautiful” after forming during the seventh series of X Factor. Louis Tomlinson is reported to be one of the main songwriters of One Direction’s repertoire and during his time with the group, they achieved 4 number one albums in both the UK and US and 4 UK number one singles.
“Just Hold On” was released as Tomlinson’s debut single as a solo artist in December 2016, it peaked at number two on the UK Singles Chart and was certified gold in both the UK and US.
