Pink is an American singer/songwriter who,  by the time she was 14 was already an experienced vocalist and dancer, and had started to write her own songs. In 2002 Pink collaborated with Christina Aguilera, Mya, and Lil’ Kim with a remake of Patti LaBelle’s “Lady Marmalade” for the soundtrack to “Moulin Rouge” and in that same year, she released a single from her second album, “Get the Party Started”, a powerhouse hit that climbed into the Top 5.

More recent work include recording cover versions of popular songs for movies and television including the Beatles’ “Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds” for the Netflix animated musical series Beat Bugs (2016) and “Just Like Fire” for Disneys Through the Looking Glass (2016). She has also collaborated with Celine Dion and Kenny Chesney in separate projects.

Aside from music Pink is an advocate for the LGBT community and for the better treatment of animals, campaigns sponsored by the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) and also supports organisations like Human Rights Campaign, UNICEF, and Save the Children.
