Savage Garden Backing Tracks

Formed in 1995, Savage Garden consists of Darren Hayes (vocals) and Daniel Jones (instrumentals) and are possibly Australia’s biggest and most successful musical duo.

Daniel was born in the UK and had a love of music from an early age. By the time he was 10 years old he could play piano, keyboard and drums. Darren was born in Australia. When he was young he showed an aptitude for drama and subsequently studied the subject at college.

Savage Garden have achieved sales in excess of 20 million albums. They have been record-holders for the longest number of weeks on the Monitor/Billboard Adult Contemporary Airplay charts in the US for their singles I Knew I Loved You and Truly, Madly, Deeply. Savage Garden is one of only two Australian bands to have ever had two Number 1 singles in the US.

The group won a record number of ten ARIA Music Awards in 1997 for their debut album and its related singles. They disbanded in 2001 and Hayes continued as a solo artist.
