Will Young
Will Young won the first series of the UK’s Pop Idol (2001). His debut single “Anything Is Possible/Evergreen” smashed into the UK charts at Number 1, having sold 1.1 million copies in its first week of release, and remained in that position for three weeks. Before Pop Idol shot him to stardom, Will Young had been studying politics at The University Of Exeter before moving to The Arts Educational Schools in London.
Will Young released a string of albums and singles and also took on some acting roles such as Bertie in Mrs Henderson Presents (alongside Dame Judi Dench and Bob Hoskins) and for his performance in the 2013 London revival of the musical Cabaret, he was nominated for the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Actor in a Musical.
